   My brother in law has a 645Ci Conv and so far it is on its second recall, at least the last of which seems to be IDrive related.  After this most recent one, a couple of functions seem to have disappeared and the SOS light on the dash won't go out.
I think I've read of some issues with IDrive on current 5's, but just wondering if anyone knows more about it or has other experiences of it on other IDrive equipped cars?
In his case, its beginning to annoy him and spoil his enjoyment of an otherwise impressive car.
