I know some of you would like to share photographs of your car, visits to car shows etc..

Whilst you may not have access to a web-site to upload pictures, are you aware of the photo album facility on Yahoo ?

It is easy to use - it's all done from the web-page.

Also where your web provider only gives you 10 Mb of space, Yahoo give you 30 Mb

The only drawbacks, if they are, is that you have to sign up to Yahoo messenger and you also need to make the folder public.

Try my link http://uk.photos.yahoo.com/nero113  and look in the BMW directory.

(Note unless you have got a fast Internet connection, don't open the images up to full size - they are over 1.18 Mb and the image size is 2048 x 1536)

Thanks for your reply.

The reason for posting this topic was that at one of our meetings some of the other guys were asking for advice on how to post pictures on the Internet - I thought this looked easier than trying to use FTP's for uploading.

Also it doesn't take long to fill up web space. As an example, my pages on http://www.lbiqa.co.uk/bmw/bmwindex.htm take up over 12 Mb of my 20 Mb allowance. It's probably better to post temporary pictures on something like Yahoo.

Perhaps Webdunk could add links from the branch website to our personal websites

Sounds like a plan chaps...Nero, I already link to some of yours... anyone else wants some links out, just let me know. I'm also happy to upload any number of pix to the club site for you.
