Any of you guys know where I can get the 17 male/female pins for the connnector located in the 'A' frame (drivers door to footwell) which  carries all the door/window electrics and also affects the central locking control unit. A couple of mine have corroded out and I am going to replace all 34 pins. I have heard that they are available from retailers but not sure who.

Iain, what suspension setup do you have on your car? and have you recently fitted a boot spoiler? thought i seen your car on the e30cabrioclub without a boot spoiler.

Iain if you find a place selling hartop stands then send me an email, we could possibly work out a combined price for a large order involving other members.

Thanks, Andy

Andy

Observant !!! Yes the spoiler was off for the shots in the cabrio section, the car is a full HARTGE conversion and as such is lowered 40mm+ with Hartge springs and bilstein inserts, front and rear anti roll/sway bars and front anti stress for stiffness. As you probably know cabrios will not take rear stress bar. Other photos on www.e30.de (go fotostories/go cabrios 5/go iain h27 cabrio).

Full feature out in Total Bmw in 2 or 3 months.

If you have photo signature it is not showing on this forum, just blank box, or is it my firms server security ???

If you are replacing the pin connectors in the A-pillar connector, get the original ones from a BMW main dealer.  I got some connectors from Farnell, but they were a bit of a disaster.  The female connector I replaced corroded again within 2 years.  To make it worse, it took me an hour to remove it as the part of the connector that fits into the block was bigger than the original BMW ones.

Best to get the original BMW ones.
