Simon, very picturesque, where abouts in wales is that, we're just outside wales above Monmouth, and we had nothing like that, how did the car cope with the conditions, las time I had to drive the tourer in the snow it was sideways all the way ( great fun though ).

Steve those pictures were taken on the Bwlch mountain just above the Afan Valley (anyone in to mountain bikes is bound to know where that is Afan Argoed country park etc) it's about a mile from where I live.

Always snow in the winter, and awesome driving roads in the summer. You will have to make the effort to come to one of the welsh meets in the summer as we use these roads, also featured on Top Gear last night for the BMW 1 series test drive.

The car handled it well despite the lack of LSD, I was more worried going uphill than coming back down, due to the lack of traction!

Simon, will definitely make the effort, let me know when you have one coming up, might actually pick your brains a bit on the best roads in the area, we are having a zmcoupe weekend in Wales in the summer, and seeing as I'm in this sort of area have offered to try and find some siutable routes, if you have any in mind, and you don't mind sharing them, then e-mail them to me at: steve-julie@tiscali.co.uk

                         thanx simon, steve.

Well to be honest, anywhere within the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountain area is good. Why not combine the meet with one of our welsh meets?? We normally meet near Merthyr and take a drive through the centre of the Beacons, and stop at a place called Llangynidr where there is a pub at the side of a canal, great food there too!

I would be worried driving my 318i Touring in the snow. Maybe you get used to it. I would love to go and see North Wales in the snow again.

Hi Simon looks like you were using your Touring as a snow plough...mine would`nt like all that snow, it would need chains fitting..!!! a trip down to Donington over Christmas was enough, it was black when I got back home.

Also how did you download all the pics onto the site..it won`t allow me to..?

Happy New Year to all...

Regards
Kevin

I love your wheels.

What width tyres do you run on those?

Don't suppose you want to sell them?!
