I have a year 2000 318, it has an intemitant brake light fault. The brake light malfunction indicator comes on it the cab now and again. It comes and goes, can happen while I'm driving, on for a while then goes off. I've changed the bulbs and checked plugs and wiring in the boot. Anybody got any ideas?

hi, first instincts would be a faulty brake switch if you've checked connections and bulbs etc

OK, I'll check, I forgot to mention sometimes it's the left light and sometimes the right brake light that does not function, would this be down to the switch?
