Could somebody advice me on a car i am thinking of buying from E Bay

It is a bmw 316i M Technics special edition, The seller informs me that it has a 1900 engine as standard is this correct and has enyone any other advice on this model

sounds like a dealer marked car, 316i with the M Tech kit fitted, don't think it's a limited edition or 'special' as you could specify the M parts for them when new. As with the engine, not sure as 316's had a 1.8, and 318's had a 1.9 at times, so not sure what this falls into, what model is it? E30, E36?
