Currently got a '95 328i SE sallon which I'm not entirely satisfied with performance wise. Basically we might be in a posistion to buy a newer car which will be another BMW. Looking at either an E39 530i, amn E46 330i or an E36 M3 evo. This will be a keeper for a good few years so wanna get a good one. M3 evo is a last minute addition as they are coming down in price but lack of equipment/gadgets putting me off. Opinions please on which car?

If you are not satisfied with the 328 performance wise then I would suggest the E36 M3. The other two are not going to be hugely quicker, although the 330 will be faster than the 530. If it was me I would go for the 330, but then I think the performance of my 328 is ok, although a bit more power never went a miss Big Smile

Of those three, the 330 would be my personal choice: with the E90 on its way, you might find that you can get the E46s cheaper in the very near future.
