This is my first post on this board. I hope someome in the UK can help a friend from the US. I am a member of BMW Club of North America and need some help with an option that is not offered here.

I have a 1998 528i that I have installed the Hella Xenon headlights on. These lights came equipped with the motors to vertically adjust the headlights. However the US spec cars were never wired for this. Xenon equipped cars have auto leveling and the halogen equipped has no provisions for adjustment. I located and insatlled all the wiring and bought the adjusting knob (marked 0,1,2) that installs next to the foglight switch, however this is where I need some help. My wiring diagran does not show which order the wires attach to this switch. There are three wires, 1) Grey and Red 2) Yellow and Red and 3) Brown and Black.

Is there anyone who knows the order that these attach (top to bottom) or would be willing to take a look on their car for me. I would be forever grateful.

Sincerly,

Timothy M.

I have been planning to so myself but still reluctant. I would appreciate if you can let me know where you bought it and the price and does it look like the original.
