Ok after introducing my 523 to a curb I have been to the garage and had my toe, camber and caster setting all checked and adjusted.

Ok the wheel I hit, looks like I have bent something (suggestions welcome??)

So everything has been adjusted to the maximum and I am still out on this rear left wheel. From what I have gathered so far these setting I now have will just increase over steer when I turn right. lol. the car is straight and true on the motor way at 100 so does not seem to affect straight line ability. The chap in the tire place said I would probably not notice anything just look out for uneven tire wear. Which makes sense to me.

From throwing her around a bit it does seem a little loser when going into right handers but that may be me just making it up :-)

Any how, I just wanted every ones views on these settings and if I should be concerned and look to change parts or just live with it. As I am not aware if they are big or minor outages. Many thanks.

Right rear camber which is correct is set at -1.9 degrees

Left rear camber which has been hit is set at -1.2 degrees

Right rear Toe which is correct is set at 0.25 degrees

Left rear Toe which has been hit is set at -0.90 degrees

If the settings are at the limits of adjustability then I would recommend taking the car to a BMW dealer and have them give the rear suspension a once over as something may well be bent. It all depends with what kind of force you hit the kerb I suppose. If at all unsure, get things like this checked out as you don't want to find in six months that one of the rear tyres is completely bald on one side.

I can assure you that you have bent the differential carrier bracket.

Your lower control arm is either bent along with it and is the reason you are out on both camber and toe.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, on a previous car.

I would fix it, the car will get very giddy in an emergency situation, when you need everything the car can give you. Fix it.
