noisy camshaft

    Just joined the forum and have been reading some of the posts , its brilliant!!!!!
I have a problem with my cam on my 1989 E30 320i SE as the oil spray bar had blocked in the rocker cover on a long journey back from devon.  I need to replace the cam and was wondering if any of you knew what else may require replacing. I would also like to know best / cheapest place to buy the bits from. The car has 118,000mls on it and we have owned it since 93 and is still mint and has been trouble free all the time we have had it. Only major work was a clutch at 104,000mls

	ive got a 325i convertable 89, head gasket was going my mates uncle was a ex bmw merchanic who done the work for me,while he was stripping down the engine he found the cam shaft was worn so he replaced the cam shaft and rockers and all the belts just incase done loads of other work while he was there full service ,decoat new oil cooler car goes like a dream now. hope this helps

	cheers shafman, I have bought a new cam from eurocarparts , all the rockers and seals. Will let you know how i get on.
