Has anyone got any idea of how much a new outer rim for a rear (wider) version of the above alloy will cost? The wheels are from a 328i Sport & are genuine. I cant get into the online parts catalogue for some reason & need to know asap. Apart from the obvious problem of getting the tyre off are the easy to fit at home or will it need to be changed professionally?

Thanks,

Dean.

I think you're looking at around £300 for a new rim fom BMW.

I have re-assembled two piece wheels myself (BBS with the five spoke centre), and to be honest, it was an absolute pain.  Expect about an hour for each wheel (add another hour per wheel to take apart!)

You should reassemble with new bolts (but I didn't), and you need to to torque them up properly, and use threadlock - really hard, and you're bound to "round" the threads of a few.

To be honest, you're best bet, is look for a second hand wheel on e-bay or similar.
