Oil question....323

   Due an Inspection 2 soon, the last service was an oil service at an indy where they put in Shell helix 10w/40 which I believe is semi synthetic? 
All other services have been carried out a dealer where I'm sure they use Mobil 1 which is fully synthetic? 
Can i change back to a fully synthetic this time? Am thinking of castrol magnatec, 5w/40 if available, if not then 10w/40, any experiences, thoughts on this?

	Its not a highly strung engine.. IMHO your wasting some money putting fully synth in it Either will be fine, the importance is to change it regulary

	Magnatec is not a fully synthetic, it's a semi. I would use a fully synthetic 5w-40 if you are on fixed servicing. If you are on variable service then you need an LL01 oil and this will be 0w-30, 0w-40. Cheers Simon

	Yeh, I though that the magnatec was fully synthetic for some reason, & i've also heard people say they have put in semi & never had such a quiet engine, so we'll see. Cheers for the replies folks
