My rear shock & springs are now well past their sell by date & need replacing so I could do with some advice on what replacement units to fit.
I've got prices for genuine replacements & it doesn't seem too painfull - about £400 for springs & shocks but am curious if there's anything better out there or equally as good for less money.
I only use it on the road now so I don't need a race set up (that's what the 944 is for)
All advice appreciated.

Paul

why do you think your rear springs need to be replaced?
Shocks only should do.
I wouldn't advice to fiddle with the back only if you are going to make major changes. e.g. Gas Sports shocks and new springs at the rear only. Stay with the stock parts if you have been happy with the handling and don't intend to change the front very soon.

Cheers Uwe.
One of the rear springs was broken when I got the car nearly 3 years ago so I thought I may as well change them while I've got the back dropped. It's only broken where it winds back in & doesn't affect handling at all, but it's always there nagging on my mind.
I think I will stick with stock parts then as handling is reasonable for such a heavy car.
Thanks

Paul
