Your best bet if just wanting a casual personal site is to sign up for a geocities site, they are very easy to set up and modify. For something more involved you could learn html code, I'm currently doing that, then buy a hosting package for about 25 quid a year and build your own site from scratch.

To see what you can do with a geocities site, have a look at my website and see if that's the kind of thing you're after.

I had a geocities account and they wouldn't let me link pictures to other sites. So i switched to using my BT free webspace and it works fine.
