Suggestion for the next one - how about Cragside Hall? The gardens have picnic spots which would be a little more scenic than a car park.

Next stop - Dilston.

The M3's mine, Micky, but its Estoril Blue. The Avus blue E36 next to it belongs to the missus. Don't think its the same M3. Bought it privately from Sunderland, and before that it was in Scotland.

There's not going to be one showing at Dilston on 03/07/05 as I'm taking my Baur, fancy bringing yours?

Cheers

Cragside is stunning.  The drive around it's grounds is superb although you have to keep the speed down.

1/3 of the way round is the bridge/lake section where the house used to take it's generate it's electricity from and it's an excellent  location for a picnic.

Gets very very busy mind you.

We'll go though, and we have a Family National Trust subscription so I won't have to pay to get in......and I think the wife and children are up for Cragside too.

Quality day.  Good to meet the one's I hadn't met, and good to meet some of our friends from the other side of the wall.  We'll have to arrange a joint meet with the Scottish crew.  Maybe if summer ever arrives.......

Chris.  Great photos.  Great website.  keep it up!

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavours last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Great day out and great pics Chris.

Looking back, although it was extremely wet, it didn't really spoil the day.

Made my mind up about one thing though - I do need better tyres.

Looks like great fun..I like the mini JCB's though..probably Mark's littl'un is eyeing up dads car already...

Fun day out and didn't matter about the wet stuff in the air, had plenty of it in the ground and in the fountains..

THE PICTURES!

Yes, needless to say I took a last minute decision and went along anyway!

A good day it was too (if very wet!!).

Rather than post all the pictures in the thread I've put them all up on my new website (don't laugh, it's my first attempt) so click the link below and follow the link from the homepage to see them all.

There are four pages of them in total.

Big thumbs up to everyone who turned up - and especially to our friends from Scotland who made the trek South.

Well what d'ya know, they got it right....(I don't use the BBC because they are utterly useless.  Try WeatherOnline instead - usually get it spot on).

It's the most miserable, wettest, greyest and downright dullest looking Sunday there has been in months.

It's truly awful outside.

Sorry, but I'll be a no show unless it brightens up considerably in the next 90 minutes or so.

Have good time guys.

According to the BBC website, it's going to be cloudy/sunny and 13 degrees in Alnwick.  And the Sky News website adds showers to that forcast.  But when have the weather men EVER got it right?!?!?!? Arms Out

Ermmmm, I don't wanna spoil things before they've happened....

...but let's hope the weather forecast for Alnwick tomorrow is wrong.

Rain, cloud and more rain....and 8 degrees.

To be honest, if it's raining in the morning I'll be backing out of this one.

I spent 4 hours waxing the car today and I ain't gonna take it through the crap on the back coast road if it's raining because I know just how horrid that road can be - you come out at the top of it looking like a JCB in disguise.

I know it's sad, very sad - but I ain't gonna be out if the forecast is accurate!

I just hope they're wrong, I really do because I fancy a good run-out tomorrow.

No news of the route on leaving Seaton Burn - don't think Terry's had time to put it on the website. However, there's not a huge scope for deviation between the A1 & the coast so .  .  .

Took old battery out to change it & found rust starting around the edges of the battery tray.  Been racing to get it cleaned up & painted before tomorrow.

The old girl still cleans up a treat for a 16 year old with mostly original paint.
