Last week I waved good bye to my 3 series vert and took delivery of a new Z4 3.0

Its an awesome machine that sounds fantastic. The handling is excellent, although I did have a bit of a moment going up sutton bank this afternoon. On the first tight bend the rear end decided it wanted to beat the front of the car up the bank, a bit of opposite lock and we drifted sideways round the bend quite nicely. I dont think Sarah was quite impressed as she said very little all the way to Scarborough and once there had to be prised off the door handle

I did get a chance to get a few pics as well.

p.s. Chris, I wasn't going to leave you being the only 'topless' driver on those cold mornings when we go for a run.

I hope to be able to turn out in the Z'ed for the next run......will there be one?

Looks superb Cliff!

Lot's of future fun assured!

The only thing is you may well be the only person with the hood down on those morning meets....because the M3 could well be going in favour of something with a roof....

I'll keep you all guessing for now because I'm waiting to 'broker the deal' with the garage.....and it's not a BMW.....

Looks great Cliff.

I think the Z4 is one of the best looking of the contemporary BMW designs.  Nice to a little variety in the club.

I think Coasting's been tempted by The Dark Side - MB or Audi. Something overpowered & held on the road by more electronics than Dixons.

Be careful Chris, the Power of the Pie is strong !

Very nice Cliff, I actually like the styling of the Z4 - very reminiscent of the older roadsters.

Coasting, you not going for a Scooby or something similar are you - or is it more practicable?

AndyS/Rhys....practical....ermmm, that's a very big no!

It'll mean I decide to buy a runabout too....

Dark side....nope....not that either!

On saying that, the p/x price I wanted has fallen 2k short late this afternoon, so there's a bit of work to be done yet!

C11 XFF - nice car, seen you over on Z4um.

Keep your eyes open for runs in Scotland organized by Jules/Missie/Yogi and me.

Did you see the pics from the last run we did (Highlander)?
