You'd never risk that journey with a Ford the same age, Jimmy, probably wouldn't go more than two counties! It does say a lot for the build quality of the older models, bet you don't find any bits of plastic fixed together with plastic rivets like the more modern models. Mick

Big thanks to the German "Alpina Gemeinschaft" car club for a fantastic meet of over 80 Alpinas in one place !! though now im not so sure the e28 B7 turbo is that rare as everywhere you looked there was one !! and only 2 of the 77 e28 B10's (mine being one of them!) showed, but it was brilliant, and the factory tour was also very good, Well we made it there and back without any problems, 2385 miles in less than a week in a 1987 E28!! speeds sat @ around 80 mph and up to 130 where permisible, this is us ariving after 2 days driving, will get some more pics up when I have the time to chop them all!!
