should e46 316 exhaust have a small hole?

   hi , noticed a small hole in the middle box of my e46 316 exhaust , its around a 1/4 inch in size , my exhaust was sounding like it was blown a little so i took a look underneath , problem is that i have also heard other e46 316 models with the same blowing kind of noise coming from there exhuast systems , i dont think it should be there but im not too sure , anybody know of this ? please help , thanks

	I know that sound, was at the dealer's t'other day and I heard a few e46's farting around. The worst was the 318Ci. Don't know about the hole though fella. Surely you can tell if it's meant to be there, with closer inspection or try: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do?vin=&kind=P&arc h=0
