Hi

I've just bought a 1986 520i Auto, which has been fully BMW services and is in generally great order. Problem is that it is dragging over to the left qute noticeably. I'ver had the wheels balanced but that hasn't helped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I love the car and I don't want to have to get something else.

Thanks.

Jim

You say you've had the wheels balanced ? What about the tracking ? Any Tyre place worth their salt will be able to put your problem right.

Cheers - Des

Turned out to be the tracking arms - I have them replaced by one garage and found out last week (at a different garage) that they had put in two different shaped tracking arms. Clearly this would not be the best way of ensuring the car will run straight. Unfortunately it's cost me rather a lot of money to put right something that should have been fairly straightforward. Shows you how untrustworthy garages can be.]

Thanks for your help on this.

Jim
