i dont know if this helps but

when i press my alarm to activate it and i have left a window open or a door not shut correctly .then the alarm will not go off untill about 20 minutes later ..so i have to go back out to the car and find the offending ;window/door/boot etc

does your car have a little push switch on the boot or bonnet .the size of it is about as big as a 5 pence piece and it will be in black with a push button insert that you can push in and out with the boot/bonnet open ???

Hi Theren & thanx for the reply. I have to be honest with you as I have only just got the Beemer I am not sure of who fits what and where on them. ( to many years as a Vauxhall Tech I guess), I did take a picture of the Alarm, but I cant seem to download it to here, so I will describe the Power sounder as best a sPossible.

It is a box shaped sounder with a key slot to turn on/off, located on the top left side (as you look at front) It is a genuine BMW Alarm system with total closure and sensors inside for movement.

I hope this helps. I also locked the car with the key in the door last night after turning off the power sounder, this seemed to shut it up so we al go a peaceful night and My neighbours still love me....FOR NOW!!!!!!!! LOL

Someone Please Help. I have Just today Purchased a 1995 Left hand drive 318 Convertible and everytime I lock the car, after a short time the alarm goes off, I have not tried yet with the Hard top on and at the moment I have turned the power sounder unit off using the supplied key. Can anyone tell if this would be a sensitivity issue and if so how can I adjust the sensitivity of the alarm. If not is it a fault and how do I rectify it, cos the neighbours are gonna love me if I leave it as it is!!!!! Thanx guys
