Just bought a 1996 520 touring for a very good price, and am looking for a reputable garage for service/repairs in South London. anyone able to recommend somewhere? I'm in East Dulwich.

there is bexley motor works in bexley heath, not quite as near as maybe you require but they are a good independent, and they do seem to know their stuff.
