Hi..

Well i'm about to get greedy on the BMW front. I've got an E36 M3 Evo as my daily run around but i want to start doing track days. While i'd like to do them in my M3 i'm a little worried about someone in a metro destorying it because they can't steer (i've seen it happen recently).

So the plan is to get an E30 coupe as a track day toy (until i get brave enough to track the M3)

However i know sod all about them. Any advice on which models to go for would be apprecated.

Handling and not out and out performance (i have the M3 for that) is what i'm after.. Budget of about 2k for the car.

Anyone give me a nudge in the right direction?

You need to join here http://www.bmwcarmagazine.com/forum/

Lots of guys there that regularly track their E30's. Talk to M3Geezer, M3 Pilot or Lancelot, or just post up what you've posted here. I guarantee you'll get plenty of response

Andy

Is your 325i still for sale? I was just saying on the evo forum that I wanted to buy a 325i two door and turn it into a track day special.

And whereabouts are you?
