Hi all,

First time poster!

I need a little help from those of you out there who mihgt have access to a parts catalogue.  I would like to know the part numbers and any availability information for the window seals on a 1986 E30.  Trouble is, I dont know whether its a 2 or 4 door, so both sets of numbers would be handy.  the parts are to take to a mate on the other side of the globe and he hasnt told me the model, just an 86 3 series, you see.

Thanks in advance for any help....

So no one has any ideas?

Not even the names of a spares company I could contact?

Anything?

I'd have to suggest (slightly tongue on cheek) how about talking to your local BMW dealer - they've always been pretty helpful to me with numbers and the like!?

Id have to respond in kind "slightly more tongue in cheek" that my local main dealer was unable to help, hence the enquiry on this forum.

The vehicle in question is (at the moment) 6000 miles away and getting the chassis/VIN number apparently necesary for a main dealer parts availability search as well as the actual parts number itself is somewhat impractical due ot the 24 hour round trip on a 747.  Actually it is especially impractical as the vehicle is substantially modified from standard and has been reregistered on a different VIN plate (local equivalent of a custom built special Q plate).

Still, never mind, I'll find the parts eventually.  Then the joys of a 190bhp Toyota twin turbo straight six and an M3 transmission will be able to be enjoyed in (dry) luxury.

Still, I guess I'll find the parts eventually.

Blimey Keef you do like things complicated!

Only other suggestion is someone like Muncich Legends? I believe they have a parts CD.

Failing that then I can onlywish you luck
