ever wondered why there has been a sudden upsurge in conservation, "green cones", deployment of different coloured wheelie-bins and plastic boxes ("ve will not haff ze metal mixed in wiv ze plastic")

i thought it was cos we were doing the bin-mens jobs for them, but apparently it's something much more sinister....

What do they do if someone mixes their bin up with the police one and it ends up in someones back garden?  Can they prosecute for interfering with police equipment?

they probably would, to them a nick is a nick at the end of the day, it makes the crime clear-up stats look better ("chalk it up!")

its much easier than catching robbers and murderers, it's a shame that a difficulty rating isn't attributed to the statistics so we can verify what we suspect (whoops, freudian slip )

All you need is someone with a council wagon and a few bins on the back, then just drive up and take it away/ Or call the council bin men and say they've missed one, can they come and empty it - rats running around and all that.

You could always collect the rubbish, ship it over to Co. Wicklow, and dump it there.

After all, that's what the Irish themselves do
