   Sounds a wee bit different - he was experiencing the 'clicking' through the gear stick. Clearly the solution to your problem lies with no longer releasing the go pedal ! :-)

	Thanks for the reply - it's more a feeling in your foot that the pedal clicks as you release it. Does this sound like the same thing?

	The clicking sound.... my mate experienced this in his E46 323ise - his fix (under warranty) was to replace a gizmo (hey dead technical me!) related to the rev counter. I'll try and get him to dig out his invoice to give you a more accurate description...

	Hello - I own a 2002 325TiSE Compact and have experienced some problems with the clutch & transmission. I returned the car to the dealer after about 1,000 miles because of an inconsistent clutch and clicking feeling when releasing the clutch in 1st gear. They suggested running the car a while longer to see if it settled down and wore in. I did this - it didn't - so I went back and although they could find nothing wrong they changed the clutch. The problem seemed to go away but now intermittently returns. The gearbox also feels a bit lumpy and engaging gears is not always smooth. The car has now done about 5k Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
