Mostly attached by bolts. There is also a weld spot at the very front edge, where it attaches to the nose cone section.

Thanks for that so they should be fairly easy to get on and off then apart from the one weld spot?

Yup.
Bolts along top inner of wing. One bolt (I think) at bottom inner rear of wheelarch. Bolt on mounting point between front indicator and front of wheelarch - the well-known rust spot.

also...
1) screws holding splash guard at rear of wheel arch...
2)bolts at the back of the wing near the door hinges,
3) bolts through the 'anti-submarine' catches on top of the wing- very awkward, cant get at these without removing 1) first....
4) Trim strip 'widget' at lower rear,
5) indicator repeater (if fitted)
6) windscreen A post trim (not on early cars)
7) very rusty inner wing bracket just ahead of wheel....
cheers

The wing top edge is 'bonded' with a mastic-type sealant.
Using a hairdryer/paint removing 'hot gun' will help to soften the mastic so its easier to remove the wing!

At the time the new wings were put on, the bodyshop forgot to replicate the adhesive spot at the front tips, and I forgot to tell them about it! (D'OH!)
So they did a neat little weld on both tip "seats". Whether this adds anything to rigidity is debatable, but it's done now.
