can anyone help , My 1990 e34 535 sport has climate control . I have had it regassed & converted to134a at Aston Garages in Farnborough at which time it was tested for leaks & any pressure drop , of which none were found . It all seemed ok for a few days after which it gradually performed less well sometimes it blows out Hot from one side & others it blows lukewarm from both & never seems to blow freezing at any time at all . Any Ideas ?

R134a is a much smaller molecule than R12 and so does tend to leak more readilly and I would say that you do have a leak. If the condenser is still the original then this is the first place to look a handy way to do the job yourself for larger leaks is with a garden sprayer with water and fairy liquid, assuming that there is still anything left in. The problem with cars that have been left over winter is that when the garage is sniffing for leaks it may not be immediatley obvious because the leak may be blocked by corrosion and only driving for a few miles will shake it free. The condenser on my 525ix Tourer held for an hour before it finally decided that it was going to leak. Have fun with those bubbles!
