hi all, i recently had my car chipped by jayson at chipped uk the car was great running really quitley and smoothly and was very responsive in all gears , it has been about 2 and a bit weeks since having it chipped, but now the performance isnt the same let me explain, the car feels alot louder and sluggish through the revs and the smooth ride has dissapeared this is how it drives most of the time but on the odd day it reverts back to being really quiet extremley responsive and very very smooth with loads of torque and power. the car has been serviced under 1k ago 5 green bars left and no fualts showing on the bmw diagnostic equipment, and i have just had it m.o.t'd and its showing the best ever emissions levels. now i am quite certain its nothing to do with the re-map, but i do know their is a problem and its really pis**ng me off  pls pls pls pls can anyone help???

Would it not be a good idea to take it back to the the chip guys?

This may be a strange question but what was the weather like when they chipped it and set it up? On the days that it runs great, again, what was the weather like? Different atmospheric conditions determine the amount of fuel a given air mass can take up. Nice cool dry days - better crisper response, wet muggy days  - flatter and less responsive.... just a thought.

thanks for the reply, yes i will get in touch with chipped uk again and to the question they chipped it on a wet day, and the car just seems to drive with a lack of power nearly all the time, in the last few weeks its only performed great about 1 or twice and they were on slightley warmer days. my independant said it could be due to the extra cold waether we are having but he didint say it with much conviction.
