Oh dear, someone seems to have miss typed their ebay entry.

Maybe should read "E24 Steering wheel with Badge that says Alpina"

And so says Jimbob.

He must think we're eejits....

Reminds me of the quote from Blackadder (Comic Relief Civil War episode):

Blackadder (as executioner): "This is the head of a traitor!!"

Crowd (in unison): "No it's not! It's a huge pumpkin with a pathetic moustache drawn on it!!"

OK so, I  e-mailed the seller, and this is his reply:

"Good morning, I am open to ideas as to what this wheels designation is. I had another eMail from a guy that thought this was an old stock 633 wheel and saying he hoped I didn't pay much for it (which I didn't!) Thats why its at such a low price on my listing. E24 covers a range of cars (628CSi, 630CS, 630CSi, 635CSi, M6, L6) not just the 635. I own two 635 CSi's and bought this wheel hoping to smarten one up a bit and have a smaller wheel, but this wheel is the same size as the one already fitted, so I didnt bother fitting it.

However, I don't take your claims of misrepresentation lightly. I bought this off eBay where the description was as mine is. I have tried to give as much detail as possible hence the extra pics of the head and the note that I know very little about the wheel. The centre 'Alpina' badge looks original, if not like the later versions; so I can only guess that this is a early Alpina example or a standard wheel with an Alpina badge (bodge!?), which I doubt as mentioned, as it does look original in the flesh.

Anyway, Ill add this email to the listing. Thanks for your comments and hey, feel free to bid!
"

Christ, the eejit still thinks it's a genuine Alpina badge.....

Is that how ye spend your spare time, Rhys?

Meanwhile, the seller sends me another e-mail after I direct him to the proper Alpina sources:

"Good site. I have Alpina wheels on one of the cars so know the badge, but just thought that this was an older version. Appears not; but didn't cost me much, so not too much pain! All the same, a bit annoying. Now what to do with this bloody wheel....."
