Topic: Hydraulic boot lid fault Posted: 06-December-2005 at 17:03 |
My boot lid is automatic lifted and closed by hydraulics. I recently had it serviced at Stratstones and asked them to top up the fluid in the boot lid, but they told me it was already full so they just lubricated the hinges and charged me £50 for it.
The boot is still having the same problem of not raising or closing fully, particularly when it's cold. The pump sounds like its not got enough fluid in it. Does anyone know what the problem could be or how I could check the fluid level for myself? thanks |

Do a search on this board, they are specialized on E38 which I assume you have http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/e38/ Just use 'trunk' instead of boot in the search engine there |
