Strange dash rattle...

   As subject I've become aware of (although it may be that I've not noticed 

it before) of a rattle/whirring noise on my '96 528i SE E39. This is very 

faint and seems to be coming from the Climate Control area and is most 

noticeable when the engine has been turned off. It can continue for up to 

2 minutes after whereupon it fades down. It is not an annoyance (yet !) 

but as the engine is so smooth and quiet at idle I could do without it. Has 

anyone experienced this or have any ideas.....? Cheers in advance, Mark.

	E39 540i (4.4i V8).... 0-60 - 6.2secs and 298 bhp....Canyon Red with Sand leather... 18" 'M' Double Spokes - 275's on the rear....
