It's the "it's NOT my fault or problem" culture that is to blame. How many times do people have collisions that they could have avoided by being defensive in their attitude, but instead they seek to take the moral high ground ?
I'm in the right and a collision happened so that I could assert that point, rather than yielding to someone in the wrong to avert the collision.

I agree with both points here. We do live in a blame culture and the whole issue of apportioning blame on our roads is part of the problem. But I see the kind of behaviour that livvy is talking about all the time.

Hmmmmm....the artical from the grauniad. Not all of what this man says is wrong, the trouble is he dragged politics into it so it just became a lot of opinionated anti tory, anti Blair waffle.

Oh and anyone who says that global warming is made up, a lie or not happening is just bloody stupid

I believe global warming is happening, but I believe it would happen anyway, and is just part of a cycle.

We may/may not be making it happen faster.

Governments could do better on this, and tell us the truth, ( as far as they know it), blaming cars so they can charge us more tax, whilst ignoring industry and aircraft ( because it suits them politically), doesn't do much to get people seriously thinking about the subject.

Best Wishes

Nigel

Erm.. yes now that I've re-read it I agree, and I must admit I can be guilty of that.
When you drive for a living you get fed up with people doing whatever they please and other people just let them without argument.  Sometimes you wish they would get shocked into realising that they are being a t**t, and adjust their behaviour.  Although on the other hand I've seen people speed up seemingly to cause an accident just to make a point, and that really wouldn't help anyone.  There's a fine line between alerting people to their selfishness/stupidity and being part of the problem.
