Hi everyone,

I'm soon to be helping my dad get his 2002 back on the road, and we're hoping to put a 5-speed gearbox in while we're working on it. I have seen a comment that the propshaft from an E30 M3 is the correct length and fittings to fit without welding. I'm not sure of the accuracy of this, does anyone know to confirm or deny this for sure?

Thanks in advance,

--Toby

I should point out that I mean an overdrive 5-speed gearbox from a 3-series, not the close ratio one.

I'm not sure, I had to have one cut down & re-balanced. Any decent engineering workshops should be able to do it. Also Cooks Ferry, Jaymic or there's a list of good 02 Specialist garages on my Technical page (www.bmw2002.co.uk) Good Luck & I hope we see you & your 02 at many of the events we have planned throughout 2006.

Happy 02ing.
Richard.
