e39 steering

   Hi iam new to the forum and hope someone can help. i have an e39 523 1997 on a "p" when the car is hot and covered a few miles i get a noise from the steering like a grinding noise and you can feel a slight juddiering from through the steering wheel. wondered if ir t could be the uj partly seized or the rack! has anyone had similar? twojs
