I have just fitted the H1 upgrade from www.hids4u.co.uk to my E30 M3, and the difference is staggering.

Mine is a late car with the ellipsoidal ("smiley") lights, which were supposed to be the best, but the step forward is huge.

I can thoroughly recommend them.  See the recent thread under "Xenon lights" for more comment.  Not sure what your car is, but Sohlman has them on his 6er, and is very pleased with them.

Dave,  The one I got was the "Pilot" kit.  It was brilliant.  Best thing you can do though is either email or speak to them, as they are very helpful.

I say this, as I am not sure what bulbs your Six has.  I have a feeling they are H4 on the dip beam, not H1 (don't shoot me down in flames if I am wrong guys - never had a Six myself...).  But better safe than sorry.

Very helpful people, quick delivery, and a product that will TRANSFORM your car.  I have no connection with them, just very ompressed with the product.

You won't have a problem with heat with the HID's. They run at 35 watts rather than a normal bulb that runs at 55 watts. They do however run at a slightly higher voltage 22,000 as oposed to 12 volts. Normal bulbs have a filament that has a current that passes through it and this produces heat with the by product being light. With the HID the voltage runs through a gas a produces light in a similar way to lightening, and the by product is heat. It's a much more efficient system thus the lower heat rating of 35 watts. So original lights will not have a problem.

I was just thinking aloud so interested parties could see them. However i should not encourage you to in affect put up and advert on hear as you will get into trouble with the moderators.

Why don't you post them up in the For Sale section.

We sold our 530iseV8 in a week on there.
