Well imagine my surprise to find the following this morning on the off side rear. I have NEVER had so many tyres on a car. BMW say theres nothing wrong with the rear and that the neg camber on m tech suspension can wear the inner edges. But this is dangerous. I was loaded up touching up to 100mph on boxing day with my Daughter and wife in the car. This is a Dunlop SP2000 that I reckon has done barely 12k.

I'm off to buy 2 tyres now and they ain't gonna be Dunlops!

Make sure that your wheel alignment is done at a centre with Hunter equipment ensuring that your Camber, Caster, Toe setting is all done correctly and to manufacturers specifications.

Good advice, thanks. I will source a centre asap.

Rhere is a company in East Grinstead that has some high tech equipment. I always get them to set the castor and camber on my Golfs. I'll pop in and have a chat with them.

my tyres ended up like this when:

Lower suspension ball joint had gone

and tracking was out. I paid £25 to have my car 4 wheel aligned on a hunter machine. Bargain. Dont pay £250 at the stealers....

Oh boy, I think I've made a mistake selling my 85k e36 328i coupe for a 525d touring going by the comments here.

Oh hang on the 3's had 2 complete tyre changes, new front discs & pads, new air con unit, new ignition switch module, rear wheel sensor (abs light on), seat air bag modifcation (air bag light on) drivers seat belt not retracting, all in all about 3k for 30k's mileage.
And I thought my Disco was bad! I might have to swipe back the 306 that i gave to the daughter, I had 2 306's there the most reliable cars I've had.
