Hi,

Registered yesterday as Loz523 but now need to become Loz535. slight change of plan on the car ownership front. If all goes well at Garage tomorrow then I will be proud owner of e39 535i by the weekend!

Any moderators or webmasters change my name for me?

Promise to buy you a beer at the first meet ( sunday, Washington services maybe??)

Cheers,

Loz

I think you would need to send kbannon a private message as I believe he created the forum and would be able to do that. HTH

On bmwcarmag forum I'm dnj330d - dont' have one anymore!

Best to stick with something that perhaps doesn't 'forever' tie you to 'your' car!

She's not a V8 - straight six mate!!!  The V8 was introduced in 1993 and the 6 ceased in 1990 i believe. On reasonable journeys I get about 22-25mpg but going to work and back on twisty roads I get about 15mpg. But a tank of petrol does last me almost 3 weeks!!

Blinkin' flip! do you work next door or something??

I have had a hard week searching for cars and clocked near 600 miles. but on a good week I am hoping a tank or a tank and a half will be more than ample. I do get mileage subsidised... but not the the tune of a 3.5 guzzler.

For the E38 735 the V8 purrs as it sooks up just short of 30 mpg on a run, around 20 mpg in the city.  Had a mix over the last 2 weeks and its showing 25.6 mpg.

You'll be buying more than pints!!!

I live in the sticks and my work is 7 miles away on mainly small twisty windy roads where the auto box is up and down like a yo-yo, so she drinks, but on the plus side a tank does last for nearly 3 weeks rather than a week when I used to travel 3-400 miles a week
