Not sure if any of the moderators can make this a sticky across the site but I've just used a company I've never ever heard of but I can highly recommend: http://www.airbagman.co.uk/default.asp Had the usual airbag light up on the e39 and was going to book it into my dealer for diagnosis and repair. Sitting idle at work (rarity) I typed in "airbag light sussex" into google and this firm came up. I only rang them yesterday, The guy came today and diagnosed it as the steering wheel airbag contact. There was I thinking I would have to take the passengers seat out and strip it down! However he's managed to reset it and has taken a small payment for the work. If it reappears then he'll return and replace the offending part. Reckons it'll be about an hour's labour plus the part. I get 10% at the dealer and he was quite happy for me to source the part. Even suggested the second hand option! Can't ask more than that. Check out their site, it's not just airbag diagnosis / repair but also ABS/ASC light's, ecu fault code reading, key programming etc. Guy I dealt with was David Baker and his number will now be a permanent in my phones memory. I'm well chuffed. Please note they only really cover the South of England. Regards Trevor Edited by whitey |
