Hi

Does anybody have any experience of the paintless dent removal service available, where technicians can visit your home / work and repair small dings on your car. Got a couple that id liked sorted out, and just wondered if this was a viable option.

I had a dent removed from my new VW last year from the drivers door. Van driver flung his door open when the car was 2 days old  It cost €90 and was perfect after about 25 mins. Yes it works.

Sold the VW and bought a 5 though

Cheers

Didn't have a dent, but had a deep scratch removed by local Chipsaway.

They had a workshop rather than mobile service, but did an excellent job, free courtesy car and really good price.

www.chipsaway.co.uk

One tip, I got a quote but then didn't go ahead as I was a bit skint that month - they phoned me a fortnight later and said as they were a bit quiet they would offer me a 20% discount to do the work that week!

Worth bearing in mind if you aren't in a hurry.

Also, the scratch ran across two panels, said they would try and polish out one half which would make it cheaper - wasn't holding out much hope, but they did it and so the price was less than I was expecting - I really appreciated their honesty.

Cheers,

Ali

Really good guys, friendly and professional, much nicer to deal with than a backstreet bodyshop
