Im thinking of buying a 540i a 1995 model, so nothing outrageously new with flashy covered all in one headlights!
Few questions, as I want to modify it to get a little more power.
1) Super chip is stated to give around +18bhp, im not worried about fuel economy, but is it likely to cause rough idle/running or effect starting ?
2) Induction kit, just a KNN or modification to the air box + 0bhp!
3) performance exhaust, ideally i'd like to get a full replacement stainless system with two pipes, one either side (may not be possible due to diff ?) or put two back boxes on the standard system.
4) Cat replacement pipes if no stainless full system is available.
5) Nitrous 50bhp jet.
If i could get a manual 540 (saw a converted one on ebay a while ago) i would not need these mods !!!!
Just wondering what you guys thought of the above, any help would be appreciated ! I would be looking to get a car with aabout 80-90k on the clock, not some 150k dog with no life left !
Anyone live in the bexleyheath area, id sure like to have a look at a 540 close up and talk to someone that actually cares about the car !! (and no, I wont ask to drive it !!!).
