We have them at thetford which may be a bit far for you, but you're welcome all the same. They do have a meet at mk every 3rd month - normally posted on the central region forum. Next meet will be April 23rd. I'll be going to the billing meet as well

Could be an idea though would be good for the summer months for local mini meets etc, but I also want to get the whole region into some meets, events etc as we really need to get the region going. The car really needs to stretch some legs as it's only going to North Walsham and back, which is why we started the meets and want to continue towards getting some more big combined meets going. There was also the suggestion for Lyng country park for some meets as well.

325 Holman,

We could have a mini meet - somewhere between us maybe a few of the ex drivers club members may turn up, seeing this post, its up to you.

Sorry guys I wont be there, I think it will be best to abandon this one and get a big one for 23rd April. I'm going down to the Essex meet on 9th April and will chat with the boys down there to get a big combined meet organised for either late May or mid june when their meet is and find somewhere central to hold it. Also possibly knocking around another combined meet for late August bank holiday for end of summer meet with a bbq - the halfway house has huge garden and may be able to allow us to host it there. Plenty of things to be discussed for the next meet

Yep, the car needs to sread some legs, having the bonnet resprayed this week, my mate has let me down again, so found someone else to get it done, going to cost me £160 though, but he has an excellent reputation, so going to be another tight month but will be worth it

Could be an idea Darren - it drives me nuts as there was the general opinion that these meets were long overdue, but when it does come to the crunch, they bottle out. You get the selct few that will do the miles and those that won't. I changed the venue for the feb meet as some people didn't want it there, so I changed it and no-one bothered turning up. Dunno, but I think we have a bunch of fair weather drivers about here. Especially for the summer months with perhaps a big BBQ and beers for a combined August meet for end of summer do and then hijack a pub for christmas time for christmas meal.

i know how you feel paul it seems that everyone wants the meets to take place but whem it comes to the crunch it falls flat on its face

i think we might have to discuss a central regular meet

It's only a week to go now and still not a thing - if nothing more is said by the latter end of the week I will abandon and will head for the next meet being the 23rd of April before the event at the Billing aquadrome on May bank holiday weekend. Come on guys - you were all raring for this at the beginning of the year

You have reply Mandy - good to see you back on. Russ (deathace) has been back on the forum, so maybe another recruit for some meets later in the year.

As Mentioned Previously - we can't make this meet - but don't worry Paul, you are not alone. I am working on being more involved at a possibly higher level, later in the year. But having to hold back at the mo due to some family issues going on at the moment. I have also PM'd you.

Thanks

Yes I will be there all being well with the Tiger, it will most likely be on the Sunday only.

Look on the Tiger display (usually just outside the main hall entrance) for KEG 643Y, most of the owners will probably know me if I am not around.

Ah the 26th is out for me, as I am spending the 25th at Silverstone watching BARC club racing. As a load of my friends are in the Tiger racing series it is worth watching!

Basically for me most weekends are booked between March and september with (for a start)

19th March Classic car show
25th Silverstone
8th April Detling kit car show
15th (working)
30th Stoneleigh
6 May Tiger open day

and that is just the ones that spring to mind at the moment......

Well dunno whats going on here, just received my copy of stratght 6 magazine and rockingham is closed for refurb and BMW have pulled out of Rockingham as well. Looks like some more activities gone. Thought about perhaps trekking to the BTCC weekends as BMW are now entering a car for the season. Come on guys I can't do it all on my own!!

Sorry Giles, 26th March, last sunday of the month, we have had Mandy and Gav, who travel from felixtowe. We put it in Thetford as it's local. Me and Ady travel from Aylsham which is 50 miles each way, and it's nice to get out and give the car a bit of a run
