My first year of BMW ownership ended last Wednesday (as did my first year of forum usage!), ending my most expensive year of motoring EVER!!!

BMW Service €190
Club nights/weekends OMG!

Regrets - NONE!  Have met some great, genuine & generous people through the club.

Many thanks to the AA and Pat my mechanic for their continued support!!!

PS: for once I'm glad I have no girlfriend - if I did, she'd have killed me if she'd seen that end figure!!!  Also, I feel I've contributed to the economy!!!

Also, if I was to sell the car, I'd probably get (judging from carzone), €11,000 for it put back to standard.  I'd then probably get about €1,100 for the wheels and tyres, €800 for the kit, €400 for the Angel Eyes, €150 for the Celis lights, €200 for the original alloys, €50 for the M3 Mirrors, totalling €13,700.  The balance includes all petrol, insurance, general servicing, and tax, which comes to €3,150.

Now I've depressed myself!  I don't recommend doing this to anyone at home!

Regrets - NONE!

I'd hate to think what some people here have spent - there are a lot of cars here I wouldn't park beside out of shame!

Dave stop fishing , you know your car looks stunning, no mater who you are parked beside. I don't think I know of another car that consistantly comes to meets and has transformed in such a manner as yours.

I have not seen your car recently, can't wait to see all the changes in the flesh.

You Richie, Niall and Mick's cars are looking to be the ones with the most fingerprint marks at the next show and shine. lets hope those E30s don't win again.

p.s. I think anti roll bars would be a good upgrade next, your car did roll a bit in Mondello and with the upgraded springs it will transform the car.

Roll bars, exhaust and UUC short shifter are the next changes on the list.

Have to get rid of a few big scratches, too.

Is it me or is your front a bit high of the ground? How much did the springs lower the front?

Fair play Dave - after seeing that and robbing some of your figures I might do something similar to herselfs 520i rather than change it. Bodykit, wheels and tyres would be the main items. Shame its silver as I don't know if it would be as dramatic as yours.

Although I would really like one of these -  a carbon black 525i M Sport Auto with Grey or Tan Leather.  Might be time to blow the SSIA's, turn to prostitution, sell a kidney and whatever else I can come up with.

Yeah I was doing that but it had not arrived for 3 weeks, so on Friday I went and ordered the ones from BMW... €500 for one mirror! My heart is broken.

At least now I can say I did not buy the cheap stuff. Neeh neeh!

Looks the biz DAve, shudder to think what I have spent and are still spending on mine.  Most of mine has gone on the interior and audipo side and its still miles from completion.  So in response to your post Id be embarassed to park mine next to yours for fear of being shown up!

Wow - that's €22k - but is worth every penny Dave, the car looked great last time I saw it, I'm sure it's only gotten better since.

You've got me thinking about how much I've spent in the last year too and all I have to show for it is new wheels. I think I'll just stop now though
