Topic: Quarter Window Seals Posted: 22-March-2006 at 13:52 |
Hi, My rear quarter widow seals on my E36 coupe are totally shot. I have been meaning to replace them for ages but not got round to it. Can anyone offer advice as to how to do this? Apparently it's a common problem and I noticed that Peter Skene (Running Report - March edition of Straight 6) replaced his quarter seals without too much bother, but I don't know where to start! The rubber seals are cheap (£18), but I refuse to pay BMW labour charges! Do I unscrew the retaining clip by the C pillar (used to open the window on a hinge) and take the window out? My Haynes manual doesn't seem to help. Any help would be much appreciated Cheers. Ewan. |

Ask and ye shall receive - just done mine on my GT. I wrote this guide as I did them on my old 328i http://www.bmwccscotland.co.uk/bmwcc/tech/diy_e36_rws.html
