I've asked similar questions on the zone but here goes. 2 sets of wheels on ebay at the moment, one set are E36 328i sport split rims and the other are BBS RC's Both are very nice but will they fit??? I (will) have E30 M3 suspension on my touring so have correct number of studs but its the offset thing that concerns me. the E36 rims are 41mm offset and the RC's 20/22 which is more like E30 values but 9" on the rear, will they fit under the arches? I dont mind a bit of euro look stretched tyres but mot as much as twiggy from the zone's touring. Any ideas? Edited by big pimpin |

The 328i sport wheels won't fit, but the others will fit, but on a standard E30 like you say, will struggle with arch clearance, may have to have the arches flared to accomodate them. Loving those type 5's! Only because I got some! |

Simon, would the 328i's not fit even with spacers? would rolled arches be enough for the BBS RC's? don't want to make any external mods. Is that the RC's you have in your sig pic? Do you know how much wider the M3 Arches are compared to a standard E30? Edited by big pimpin |

I'm sure I've read a post on here about the 328i wheels, have you seen a set of these wheels in the metal? They have no dish, and don't look very nice imho. The wheels on my car are BBS type 5's, same as the e-bay link above, and are also staggered like the e-bay ones. Couldn't tell you in measurements how much wider the M3 arches are than normal E30 though, but I do know there's a guy on the zone that had some Keskins on his E30 which were 9" on the rear, and he had his arches flared. Thanks Chris, that is a VERY handy sheet ! I've bought a set of BBS split rims (still waiting for them!) They are 8x17 and 9x17 with 20 and 22mm offsets. I'll just have to try them on when I get them to see if they fit! I'll let you know the outcome. |
