I need to provide details from the previous owner of my car and full service history in order to claim on the 6 year paint work warranty. I have minor perforation around the bootlid lock on my Z3, apparently a common problem. Only trouble is I only have the details of 1 previous owner, who owned the vehicle for 6-8 months. The details of the person that bought the car are unknown to me. Advice please? |

Contact the DVLA requesting a full list of owners for your vehicle. I think they charge you 20 quid or so for the privilege, but you do get a complete list of owners and their details. I'm surprised at the bootlid being perforated, BMW should fix that without question especially if it's a common fault with them. If they refuse on grounds of incomplete history, I'd query it with head office.

sorry should of made this clearer its the chromeline bootlock. which would of been fitted as an option of retro fit by a dealer. its started rusting around the area where the bootlid has been filed down.
