A long shot this but the next area I want to tackle on my 325i convertible is the interior. I'm after the following all in Blue (indigo)

Drivers door panel (being a leather car it has the full vinyl door trim). Mine has a burn from a soldering iron on it!

Drivers rear quarter panel. mine has a fag burn in it.

Complete floor carpet set in Blue. Not the mats, the actual carpet. It looks to me if someones put a battery in the rear offside footwell that has leaked leaving the carpet thread bare in a small area. I tried emailing the seller of this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=462 4777841&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1  to see if I can buy the carpets but he reckons they are "not in good condition". However I can't get him to state if they are ripped. If they are just dirty I'll get them cleaned. Anyone from up that way that could pop over to take a look for me?

Being a blue interior it's fairly rare to find parts. Has anyone out there got any of the above kicking about? I'll pay obviously.

Regards

Trevor

Hi there, finally I've found someone who's got the same problem as me... I thought I was going mad, and that dark blue leather interiors didnt exist!!  I need a carpet too, and a drivers seat, proving to be a right nightmare!! Good luck hope you find something.

we've just missed a blue leather interior on eBay. My interior is very good with little wear. The problem I have is that I'm a perfectionist and although i don't want this car to be concours (I want it to remain usable) I want it to be right.

The carpet I mention above is scrap. Spoke to them again today. The entire seats and door panels went for £132!! I'd have paid that just to get the O/S panels and the headrests to replace my rears.

Well I don't need a drivers seat and it don't sound like you need the panels. If either of us spots an interior go for it and we'll share it out. Whoever gets the deal gets the carpets. You on?

Sounds like you might have yourself a deal!! My panels are sound as you guessed, so yea, I'm up for that.... your lucky to have some mint seats, i've considered getting some mechanically sound cloth sports seats and then retrimming them to match, but again, no luck so far!! I dont need the full carpet, just the larger front piece because the original is ripped from the rear ash tray to the edge of the carpet. I'll let you know if I have any luck though, ebay here we come!!

One thing to bare in mind is that you can absolutely strip the seats down to nothing. So if found a good passenger seat, you could cannibalise that to sort the drivers seat.

My seats are very good, Not mint but no rips, very little cracking and all the stitchings in place.

The front door trim was my fault. When fitting the alarm I stupidly rested the soldering iron on the top of the door pocket. It rolled and burnt the vinyl panel . To say I was gutted is an understatment! I can get a panel from BMW but its over £250!
