Looking towards the summer, I am starting to considor some bodywork.

All I need doing is the inner sills on both sides, and the jacking points. They are not too bad, but since I am also considering a respray, it must be done first. Oh and there are two finger nail sized spots on the front of the rear wheel arches.

Basically, I was planning to get the junk cut out and replaced, and then follow the waxoyl process on the workshop CD that BMW used to do - I.e waxoyling the inside of the sills using a flexible wand attatched to a compressor. e.t.c.

I was wondering if anyone knows a good place to have this work done, and also how much I should be paying.

The condition is not that bad at all - but about 3.5 on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being new car, and 10 being powdered rust.

I live in London, but would travel if the job is good, good value, and recommended.

If anyone can supply me with some details of welders/ garages that could do this job for me, I would be grateful.

-Ben

As you can see the rear O/S/R quarter has all gone matt, due to previous paint job years ago. See also enlarget image of rust.
