* Bunch Of Hunts Buy One Get One Free

Something different this time! There will be a (hopefully!) traffic-free, early AM cruise followed by a great breakfast followed by a gentle cruise with loads of B-roads and plenty of posing / cruising opportunities as we head through the Amish Fenlands, where cars are rare and open cars are whispered of as the spawn of Satan.

Although you CAN buy one and get one free, you also have the option of just making the early cruise or just doing the "normal" cruise.

PLEASE CAN YOU MAKE IT CLEAR IN YOUR PM'S WHICH ONE(S) YOU ARE DOING!

Starting time and place

There are two starting points for the cruise (obviously, or perhaps not!) They will be confirmed closer to the time, but it's likely to be the usual "Golden Arches" being the start for the early cruise -- 7:30 departure!!

The second part of the cruise will start from Stamford, with a 10:00 departure!!

Getting to the start(s)

This will be confirmed later.

Ending time and place

The cruise will end at the BP on the A1 very near to Peterborough. It's a bit elastic, depending on how much mooching around goes on, but 5:30-ish seems doable.

Road safety

There are one or two bits of driving on this cruise.   Please exercise caution when going over blind rises, there are several places where you come over a blind rise only to find a sharp turn on the other side!

Also, los federales have been out en masse lately.  (Oink, oink!)

The first post has been updated with a menu.

I have been to the pub and tested the food. Frankly, I was a bit nervous as the pub is a little scruffy, but the food was marvellous and the people in the pub were really friendly too!

Pickle and I both had potato skins to start, and we both licked our plates clean!  I had the Chicken Curry and rice and Pickle had the Chilli Con Carne with chips. Both were lovely, really tasty and generous portions. We couldn't face dessert, although I'm hoping to give their banoffee pie a workout when we go for real!

Do be warned, it's a country pub and they still smoke in the pubs out there (and how!) Dinner is in a separate room, though.

Please get your food orders in to me by Friday, 12 May.
Ciao,
Spokey
