Cheers DM i will check out the calipers if the new bushes dont set it straight!!

Quotes are in (upper and lower control arms and bushes):

Euro Car Parts: £260 inc labour

BMW parts: £530 inc labour

I know which one i am very tempted to go for!!

Before I get that done though I now need to investigate my new tyres... they have all lost pressure in the space of approx 2 weeks (one of the rears down from 32psi to 12psi !!!!!!!). Refinflated them today and it felt like a new car... back to the tyre place tomorrow

cheers

You'll find the ECP parts are the same manufacturer as who would supply BMW. You just don't have the BMW badge on them. The OE prices are normally the ones supplied to BMW

That settles it then, ECP parts it is! Will have to wait until next month now though which is a shame cause I'm taking the six down to cornwall next week, would be great to have it smooth for motorway and crisp for the country roads!

The problem incidently with the new tyres losing pressure was that the alloys had loads of gunk already attached so there wasn't a proper seal. Had to have all the tyres removed, rims cleaned up and re-beaded which has another £40!! So those tatty style 5's off ebay have set me back a total of £550 so far!!

Cool pictures mjf297.....she's tidy eh

style 5's look sooo good on the six..

I took mine through France, Spain etc with 174k showing, didn't miss a beat - as it should be really - Cornwall should be no probs. Obviously you've got your potetial fan belt's/cooling system/hoses problems if those items have been neglected. Judging by yours though, it looks like it has been looked after.

The top hose split on my six out of nowhere once. Apart from swapping out all the car's ancillaries in anticipation, I'd say take a look at yr main (top,bottom,thermostat-housing-to water pump hose) hoses and replace if in doubt.

I think you can only get them from BMW although I might be wrong. Not too dear though.

Enjoy

Thanks chaps. Got to Cornwall, round it and back again with no probs whatsoever - 800 miles - very impressed!! Needs an oil service now though!

Couple of pics of the car near Lands End and Whitesands Bay. The girlfriend wasn't too impressed at the amount of attention the six was getting (from me and passers by!!)
