True, he's earned a week off - but that's it!

But don't care.

I've had a couple of occassions since the forum moved to the new server where I've typed a reply to a post and when I hit Enter it seems as if the connection to the server drops (doing this at work so the pop connection is good).

The only common factor I've seen is that the replies were typed over a period of time (e.g. started it before lunch and came back to finish it just after).

Is there a time out setting once a thread is opened that might be causing this?  My browser is IE 6.0 and I'm not seeing issues with other sites.

There should be no issue with timeouts. If you are afraid of the problem happening again after a long period then in a different window open a forum page to be sure that your connection is activated and then submit your post.

One week? You are really generous Simon!
Still, I was away for two weeks sharing a house with my mother in law - can't wait to go back to work!
